Shooting near Rexdale mall sends one to hospital


One person is in hospital with “serious” injuries after a shooting near the Woodbine Centre mall in Rexdale on Thursday, said Toronto police.

According to police the shooting happened just before 8:15 p.m. near Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 North, near the mall.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area and located a car with multiple bullet holes.

Police said a black, four-door Infiniti sedan was seen leaving the area.

One victim was later found in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
