Ronaldo and Messi's Cups Lack Titles

 

CONCACAF Champions Cup

Messi's Inter Miami was one of the favorites to win the CONCACAF Champions Cup going into the 2024 tournament. Even though the Argentine international scored twice in the team's 5-3 aggregate victory against Nashville SC in the round of 16, Monterrey unexpectedly eliminated them in the quarterfinals.

The French Cup

Messi was a member of the PSG squad that lost to Nice in the round of 16 of the French Cup in January 2022.

The Argentine icon was ousted in the round of 16 of the French Cup as PSG lost 1-2 to Marseille in the Clasico, only months after winning the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Portugal easily won their group, but they lost to Chile on penalties in the semi-finals.

Portuguese Cup and League

Ronaldo failed to win the league championship during his one and only season with Sporting Lisbon, as the team placed third in the Primeira Liga.

Sporting lost to lower league team Associação Naval in the quarterfinals of the 2002–2003 season, which prevented the Don from winning the Portuguese Cup.

Titles The Europa League has not been won by Messi.

In the 2022–2023 season, Ronaldo made one appearance in the Europa League. In six games, he contributed four goals, helping United place second in their group.

Ronaldo had transferred to the Saudi League and abandoned the team by the time the knockout stages started.

The World Cup

 

Ronaldo has had difficulty winning the World Cup throughout his time with Portugal, in contrast to his competitor Messi, who won the 2022 tournament in Qatar. Lifting the golden trophy feels nearly impossible as he ages.

"Winning the European Championship is equivalent to winning the World Cup," Ronaldo once said, downplaying the significance of winning the tournament. I don't feel inspired by the World Cup since I've already won two titles for Portugal that I truly want.

The Confederations Cup

Portugal had the chance to play in the Confederations Cup after winning the European Championship in 2016, however the tournament has since been canceled. The AFC Champions League

Since Al Nassr fell to Al Ain of the UAE on penalties in the quarterfinals of the previous season, Ronaldo has only had one opportunity to win the AFC Champions League. Messi has won 45 championships since winning the Spanish league with Barcelona in 2005, including the Copa America with the Argentine national team and the World Cup "Qatar 2022."

Despite their lengthy playing careers, the two legends' purses are lacking a number of titles.

Ronaldo did not win the King's Cup or the Saudi League.

The only championship Ronaldo has won with Al-Nassr is the Arab Club Champions Cup, which some have said is a friendly competition. Ronaldo has never won the Saudi Roshen League title.
