Mane and Mazraoui refuse to carry the wine glass during a group photo of Bayern Munich (photos)
Senegalese Sadio Mane and Moroccan Nassir Mazraoui, players of the German club Bayern Munich, grabbed the attention, during a photo session with one of the commercial sponsors of the Bavarian giant.
Bayern Munich players carried cups of "beer" for the "Paulener" company, during the advertising photo session, with the players wearing the traditional Leederhausen costume.
According to the British dailymail, Mazraoui and Mani refused to hold the cup filled with beer, in compliance with the teachings of the Islamic religion, which categorically forbids drinking this drink.
Bayern Munich used to hold an annual photo session, during which the players wear Lederhausen (the traditional German uniform), and also include the announcement of the team's sponsor.
The duo's stance was praised by followers on social media.
Mane and Mazraoui had joined the Bavarian team, during the current summer transfer market, and played a prominent role in Bayern Munich's rise to the top of the "Bundesliga" this season, with 10 points.
