Russian State Duma Speaker: European Court of Human Rights decisions will not be implemented
The Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin said that this week it is scheduled to adopt federal laws on non-implementation of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
"The adoption of federal laws on non-implementation of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights is planned for this week," Volodin wrote on his Telegram account.
The Speaker of the Russian State Duma noted that State Duma deputies proposed a number of amendments for a second reading, whereby the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights adopted after March 15 will not be implemented and compensation will be paid under the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, which entered into force before March 15, In rubles only accounts in Russian banks are exclusively, moreover, the decisions of the courts of the Russian Federation will have primacy over the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
In his publication, Volodin noted that "the European Court of Human Rights has become a political tool directed against our country in the hands of Western politicians. Some of its decisions directly contradict the Constitution of the Russian Federation, our values and traditions."
