Ronaldo responds to Beckham's offer to join Inter Miami
The British newspaper, "Daily Star", revealed that Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo refused to move to Inter Miami, owned by former English football star David Beckham.
The newspaper added that Beckham explored the opportunities of his team, Inter Miami, to sign Ronaldo in an attempt to "enhance the team's performance and brand."
The newspaper pointed out that Ronaldo, aged 37, rejected the idea of leaving United this summer, and decided to stay at Old Trafford.
And the "Daily Star" confirmed that Ronaldo and Manchester United are not thinking of disengaging them this summer, and that the Portuguese star will continue his career with the "Red Devils" in the previous season.
Several reports had speculated about Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester, due to his dissatisfaction with the “Red Devils” management’s failure to support the ranks of its team with great deals during the current summer Mercato, and linked him to moving to Bayern Munich or Chelsea, or even returning to the team in which he grew up, Sporting Lisbon.
Ronaldo was Manchester United's top scorer last season, scoring 24 goals in 38 games in various competitions, including 18 goals in 30 matches in the English Premier League.
But things did not go completely as planned for the Portuguese striker since his return to "Old Trafford" last summer, as he will participate next season in the European League and not the Champions League after United ranked sixth in the Premier League standings last season.
